OCTOBER 25 - PRAÇA | BEATO UNICORN FACTORY
On 25 October, Lisbon Pasta Week closes its first edition with its flagship event: a full day at Praça, Unicorn Factory Beato, imagined as a contemporary Italian piazza — a vibrant, interactive marketplace where guests move freely between experiences from morning to night.
Throughout the day, the Piazza brings together Italian restaurant tasting stands, pasta and cheese tastings, Italian wine and olive oil tastings, and an ice-cream cart for something sweet along the way. Alongside the food, there's plenty to learn: hands-on fresh pasta workshops, show-cookings by Italian chefs, and dedicated family workshops for the youngest guests. And then there's the atmosphere — communal tables for shared dining, stands from local creative artisans, live music running through the day, and a DJ set and aperitivo moment as the evening settles in.
The day builds toward its two big moments: the awards ceremony, crowning the Best Pasta and the Best Italian Restaurant in Lisbon, followed by an aperitivo under music until the Festival's final toast closes the night.
It's the day Lisbon Pasta Week's first edition comes full circle — everything the week has built, gathered in one piazza, for everyone to taste.
21 OCTOBER - ITALIAN EMBASSY
From grain to table: supply chain, food culture and wellbeing
As part of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World and the first edition of Lisbon Pasta Week, "From Grains to Table" is a gathering at the Embassy of Italy in Lisbon dedicated to pasta as an expression of culture, production quality and conviviality. The event opens a dialogue between Italy and Portugal on the journey linking agriculture, food production, cooking and health — celebrating Italy's gastronomic heritage through a contemporary lens.
The evening opens with institutional welcome remarks, followed by an introduction from Alessandra Lauria, founder of Lisbon Pasta Week, who will present the project and the thread running through the discussion.
At the heart of the event, a multidisciplinary panel moderated by Mario Chessa brings together Italian and Portuguese voices. The conversation moves from grain biodiversity, supply-chain sustainability and the quality of pasta production, through to choices in the kitchen, taste and table culture. It will explore the role of pasta within a balanced diet and address the questions most often raised around grains, carbohydrates and gluten.
The discussion also draws on scientific evidence linking diet, lifestyle and cancer prevention, alongside the psychological and social dimensions of food — offering complementary perspectives on wellbeing, grounded throughout in accessible, rigorous food education.
Following a Q&A with the audience, the evening closes with a convivial moment — buffet and drinks — designed to extend the conversation between guests and speakers, carrying the evening's themes forward around the shared table.
The aim is to build greater awareness of the value of food, from the origin of ingredients to everyday habits, and to strengthen the cultural dialogue between Italy and Portugal through one shared, symbolic element: the table.

25 OCTOBER - PRAÇA BEATO
As part of World Pasta Day, the Italian Piazza opens its doors to two hands-on fresh pasta workshops, a chance to step away from the tasting stands and get your hands into the dough.
Guided through the craft of Italian pasta-making from start to finish, participants will learn the techniques behind handmade pasta: working the dough, rolling it out, and shaping it the traditional way. It's an intimate, sensory session built for anyone curious to understand pasta not just as a dish, but as a craft passed down through generations.
Spaces are limited and by booking only, keeping each session small and genuinely hands-on.
19-25 OCTOBER - CITY WIDE
From 19 to 25 October, Lisbon's best Italian restaurants open their kitchens to the Festival with a dedicated Pasta Week menu — each one featuring at least one signature dish created especially for the occasion.
The format stays simple: one pasta dish plus one drink, €21. Diners who want to take it further can add +€1 to their bill (€22 total), going directly to Smile and Make Pasta, a non-profit bringing hands-on pasta-making workshops to children in pediatric hospital wards — turning every table into a small act of care.
Every participating restaurant is automatically entered into the public vote for Best Italian Restaurant in Lisbon, one of the Festival's two awards, decided by the people who show up and taste.
A week of menus, a city full of tables, one shared celebration of pasta.
